Foto adventure challenge Family edition.

This past Christmas, Rob gave me two really lovely photo books!

"THE ADVENTURE CHALLENGE"

The Family edition and the couples edition.

I’d seen them around before, but they’re honestly so much fun!

Each book is filled with all kinds of adventures. Some to do as a family, others just the two of us.

When you decide to do a challenge, you have to scratch off a box — and only then do you find out what you're going to do.And once it’s revealed, you have to do it!Even if it’s not quite what you expected or you’re not really in the mood.

There are little icons that show you what to expect —Some activities are outdoors, others are things you can do right at home.

Sometimes you’ll need to drive somewhere, or pick up a few supplies from the store first.It also shows how much time the activity will take and whether there are any costs involved — and if so, in what range.

And of course, you’re supposed to take a photo of the moment to go along with the story in the book!

Day off today, and we picked an outdoor challenge — one that required us to go somewhere.

The task was to find a spot by the water, lay down a blanket, bring along some treats, and take turns asking each other questions and talking about our hopes and dreams.It was honestly so much fun, and the kids really joined in!

We were surrounded by cows and watched swans gliding by on the water.Sheltered from the wind under a tree — it could’ve been a bit warmer, sure, but it was dry and cozy!

I love doing things you wouldn’t normally think to do.It doesn’t have to be anything wild or exciting — just something unexpected.

On the way back, the boys said they’d really enjoyed it too.

I have a feeling we’re going to have a lot more fun with this! Highly recommended!
