A double celebration

Two celebrations this week!
Last Sunday, I turned 39 already...
Well... no one stays young forever.
The seesaw is slowly tipping the other way... ;)

And today, Rob and I have already been together for 10 years...
So, reason enough for drinks, gifts, cake, decorations, and a nice dinner planned for the weekend... I love it!
But I’m also a very sentimental person, and moments like these always feel a bit bittersweet to me...
Last week, I woke up one morning and suddenly realized that in just a few days, Rob and I would be celebrating ten years together…
It really hit me out of nowhere. I thought, “Ten years?!”
“Has it really been ten years since we started this adventure?”
That’s how quickly ten years can fly by…A few blinks, and here we are.
And yet, in those ten years, we’ve experienced and accomplished so much.
We now have two kids who’ve already been in primary school for quite some time — and honestly, I think they’re growing up way too fast.
Especially now that they’re not so little anymore, I often find myself thinking, “Can we please slow down!”
It truly feels like it’s all slipping through your fingers...
I’ve learned — partly from everything I’ve seen around me — that you really have to live in the moment.Nothing is certain, nothing lasts forever, and everything is temporary.
What seems obvious or secure today, can be gone tomorrow.
And that thought… it can sometimes weigh heavy on my heart.
There are moments when I truly get tears in my eyes.
Yeah, I know — I’m a bit of a softie. ;)
But still… how can I enjoy the now even more? How do I stop myself from getting swept away by the daily chaos, the to-do lists, and all the responsibilities?
It’s not always easy.
I think that’s why I have such a passion for capturing moments — especially the feeling of a moment.
Lately, I’ve been filming more often with my camera, trying to preserve those little slices of life. When I edit my photos, I always aim to create a cinematic feel through color and contrast — the way the moment looked and felt to me. That’s how it gets stored in my mind. They become the kind of memories you want to keep forever.
And when you look back at those images or videos later, the whole experience somehow comes rushing back — even just a little.
Even if they seem like small, everyday moments, they’re often the most beautiful and meaningful.I love capturing those for others, too — so feel free to reach out!
